Sempiterno
Award-winning Tannat wine that called for a timeless and elegant label to match its name and character.
The client
Sempiterno is a premium Tannat wine produced by Vinícola Gheller, located in the Serra Gaúcha region of Brazil. Known for its expressive character and refined quality, Sempiterno has been awarded Gold Medals at both the Grande Prova de Vinhos do Brasil (2018) and Wines of Brazil Awards (2019). The project was commissioned by SUNUP, an agency based in Guaporé-RS, which partnered with WS Design to bring the visual concept to life.
The need
Following the wine’s critical acclaim, Vinícola Gheller and SUNUP sought to create a label that would embody the wine’s excellence and timeless nature. The objective was to develop an identity that would be as iconic and enduring as the wine itself—one that would resonate with sophisticated consumers and reflect the premium quality of the Tannat grape.
The solution
wsdesign.ws assigns the label design and art direction for Sempiterno, translating the wine’s name—meaning "everlasting"—into a visual language rooted in elegance and permanence. The result is a refined, timeless label that elevates the product on the shelf and reinforces its position in the high-end wine market. The design not only aligns with the wine’s award-winning reputation but also enhances its emotional and aesthetic appeal to discerning wine lovers.
